[LEAVING LINKEDIN] ... and the darned SPAM continues ...

Conclusion: LinkedIn is one big marketing annoyance. You cannot leave.

From my Spam folder:

It's insane.

If you spammark LinkedIn they'll change the mail slightly ... so they continue on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on  on and on

[LEAVING LINKEDIN] Trying again

This time leaving LinkedIn Learning seemed like a success (again).

However this came up.

The go to Homepages opened LinkedIn.

Now it seemed like I could leave.

I've tried this before, but now I hope ... really hope ... that LinkedIn is a thing in the past.

Again I received this email:

Is this the end?

(... the melody from sitcom "Soap" ought to play in the background now ...)

"So he tried leaving LinkedIn again. But did Per really leave linkedLn? Was he really off the hook? Or was he trapped in the never-ending Kafka'ish labyrinth? Watch out for the next episode of Leaving LinkedIn ..."

Do you know this feeling: "Haven't I been here before?"

[LEAVING LINKEDIN] The answer was ... auto-response. Leaving is still impossible.

 I can only say: ... sigh ...

[LEAVING LINKEDIN] Well I'm not alone ...

More and more share this experience. Leaving LinkedIn is impossible - and that's against the Law.

[LEAVING LINKEDIN] It's hard to Leave LinkedIn

 I got this answer.

Now there is a subscription to LinkedIn learning.

  • I cannot leave it !!
I have no words. It's insane.

But at least I've got an answer form a human being.

I have answered this email, and hope that it works. However the links in the email was yet another dead end. Waste of time.

What I don't understand is this: why send all this information when they could just delete my profile? Again: waste of my time.

How to use GPG - basic sample code

GPG: Show the stored password in the terminal

Send the content of the file to std out (-o):

# gpg -d -o - mySecrets.gpg

GPG: Encrypt a file

# gpg --encrypt --recipient recipient@example.com file.txt

The command will create the file file.gpg - and of course the file with the secret message must be deleted.

Also see the man page.

Pass - cannot encrypt files

For some reason pass can't encrypt and decrypt files on my MacBook Air. However gpg can.

Should I just ditch the old beloved pass?

Well, at least that is my conclusion. Why use a corrupt interface for gpg when gpg works fine?

[IMPOSSIBLE] Well - you cannot leave LinkedIn

I have tried for a year. LinkedIn does not respect my wish for privacy. They spam, spam, spam and spam.

Now I cannot delete my account again - this time the password does not exist!

Shame on you LinkedIn!

What am I supposed to do? How the hell can I leave this annying spam company?
